RateSwitch™
For your solar to earn you the most, you need to be on the right rate at the right time. Our RateSwitch feature calculates the optimal dates for switching between rates and automates this process for you. No more uncertainty for you. No more twice-a-year reminders.
Cash Back
We pay you 3% annual cash back on the cost of electricity you’ve purchased from the grid throughout the year. We pay this out to you in your first bill at the start of every year.
EV Cash Back
If you drive an EV, send us in proof of your vehicle registration, and we will pay you an additional 2% annual cash back.
Data Analytics
Each month, we send you a report on your exports and imports to and from the grid. This data gives you an improved sense of how your solar is performing and makes the return on your solar investment transparent.
Frequently Asked Questions
How will I know if I'm a net-importer or net-exporter?
With our RateSwitch™ feature, you don't need to! Our billing database calculates each month if you are a net-importer or exporter and makes sure you're on the rate that is most advantageous to you. In general, expect to be a net-importer during the winter months when your production is lowest, and a net-exporter in the summer months when your production is highest.
Will I stay with my current provider?
Shared Value Energy becomes your new electricity provider and you become a customer on our Solar Club Rate. We automate the handover from your current energy provider. There is no need for you to call to cancel your service with them.
Does Shared Value Energy also offer natural gas service?
We do. We offer both fixed and variable natural gas rates.
Am I required to get natural gas service from Shared Value Energy if I sign up for the Solar Club rate?
Not at all. But if you want to have just one energy provider, we do offer natural gas at both fixed and variable rates, and we offer 3% annual cash back to all our Solar Club Rate customers.
